I spent quite some time drawing Ultron’s head in Autodesk 123D Design – I detailed a lot of the process in the video above. I’ve left cavities for servos to mount for animatronic features which include flexible lips printed in Ninjaflex and the jaw. The head mount replaces the previous gimbal I designed an also allows the jaw to hinge:
The parts were printed in 0.2mm layer height with 6 perimeters which took many hours – the top quarters of the head were 14 hour prints each. The upper part of the head will lift off the main mount, and the very top will come off completely for maintenance:
