I made a start on Android 12′s hip assembly. This will be multiple 3D printed parts due to the complexity of putting all three degrees of freedom into the space. More over on the main project page.

3D Printed Replacement Chuck Key Holder
The rubber chuck key holder split on my drill, so I 3D printed this replacement in ABS. You can see more pictures over at the project page, as well as more details on my other 3D printed projects and 3D printer.

Android 12 – Preliminary Dynamic Ankle Testing
Here’s the third video about Android 12 – explanation of the ‘hinged shin element’ and demonstration/testing of the dynamic ankle mechanism using an R/C heicopter heading gyro.
Android 12 Ankle and Shin Assembly
I’ve added some pictures of Android 12′s ankle and shin assembly all together. Just waiting for some M3 studding to arrive for the pivots at either end of the shock absorbers, then I’ll have another video showing the motion and active dynamics provided by the gyro in each ankle.
